Heart Month: A Thank You to Those Who Fix Broken Hearts

February is American Heart Month, which means it’s time to raise awareness about heart disease and give a shout out to the medical professionals who keep hearts beating.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States, making up 1 in 4 deaths each year[1]. Approximately 84 million people in the U.S. suffer from some form of cardiovascular disease, with coronary heart disease making up about 15 million of those[2].

As a distributor of numerous cardiovascular surgery devices and instruments, we see the continuous training that cardiac surgeons, nurses and perfusionists undergo to stay up-to-date on the latest products, technology, techniques and approaches. This February, MED Alliance would like to extend our gratitude to these dedicated men and women who fix our broken hearts and save hundreds of thousands of lives each year through surgical interventions.
