Surge Cardiovascular Launches New PEAK Left Heart Vent Cannula
MED Alliance Solutions is excited to add yet another advanced device from Surge Cardiovascular to our portfolio of products. Surge Cardiovascular recently announced the launch of their PEAK Left Heart Vent Cannula.
This cannula provides venting of the left ventricle during cardiopulmonary bypass, entering at the juncture of the right superior pulmonary vein. Key features include a malleable introducer; depth indicators; a rounded, open tip; and 24 slotted holes for venting.

Designed with the clinician in mind, the PEAK tapered tip of the cannula gives the clinician a smooth, easy insertion while the multiple printed depth marks supply indicators to easily identify depth. The PEAK’s malleable introducer was created to offer unlimited manipulation of the cannula to the desired shape, and the tip allows a closer approach to the apex of the ventricle.
The PEAK offers a variety of sizes to accommodate the surgeon’s needs, and features 24 slot shaped holes, uniquely designed to allow for superior free flow venting of the blood.
