Suture Guides

Tourniquets
Tourniquets come in a variety of sizes and configurations to secure cannulae during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery. The stainless-steel wire snare offers rapid retrieval of the purse string while the color-coded sets allow for easy identification in the operative field. Tourniquet set configurations vary with options in color, length, quantity and snare.
Cardiac Insulation Pads
The cardiac insulation pads are specifically designed to aid in temperature management during cardiovascular surgery. They protect the phrenic nerve and pericardial cavity from the extreme cold of ice slush used during surgery to cool the myocardium. The high-density closed-cell foam structure prevents temperature transfer, and pull-out tabs allow for removal. Pads are available in both adult and pediatric sizes.
Coronary Artery Retraction Clips
As part of their cardiovascular surgery organization products, Surge Cardiovascular offers retraction clips to aid surgeons in retracting tissue from the surgical field to improve exposure. Retraction clips are composed of a stainless-steel material and formed into a spring, allowing surgeons to enhance visibility, improve their grip and maintain organization.
Suction Adapter Devices
Suction adapters help prevent back flow and allow for direct suction connection to closed-wound systems. They further enable fluid collection away from the operative side and are available in two configurations to meet surgeons’ needs.
Myocardial Temperature Probes
Temperature probes are for use in the routine monitoring of temperature during open-heart surgery and are intended for insertion into the myocardium. The myocardial temperature probes provide temperature accuracy of +/- 0.2°C and range of 0° – 70°C.
Tubing Organizers
Tubing organizers maintain neatness and help eliminate tubing kinking and tangling by securing and organizing flexible tubing of various sizes in the sterile field. Organizers are available with and without clips.
